I found great quantity of the same sheets in the junkyard in Erfurt.
Laminations that are the residue of a piece for the industry.
I was thrilled with the idea of turning each into a unique, three-dimensional piece. Cutting, folding and enamaling appear infinite variations.

It is so wonderful to see the connections developing and growing between the artists taking part in Heat Exchange 2 and I am very excited to be launching your exhibition here in Cardiff next autumn. What a fantastic project and a unique opportunity for our visitors to not only see the exhibition pieces but to also engage with and learn about the artistic processes via the blog.
These pieces look fantastic – the colouring and the diverse possibility of that one shape is amazing. I realise I should have asked this over a month ago, but is this regular sifted enamel straight onto the steel?
Thank you so much Melissa.
No first I put ground enamel for steel on it and than regular sifted enamel or the liquid enamel I bought in Erfurt.
